I’m using the Contax T2 I bought for Phoot Camp as a “life memo” camera, photographing with it for an entire year, from June 17, 2011 through June 17, 2012. Casual snapshots, life details, flash pictures, etc.
I’m using the databack to imprint the negatives with a day & date stamp as I take pictures. The exposed films go into a drawstring bag, unprocessed. Each film canister is numbered. Each time I finish a roll, I post an update to Twitter.
In an effort to maximize the vanishing thrill of “waiting to see what you got,” I try very hard to forget everything I shoot and I’m exercising all of my will to resist the temptation to process anything until the year is over.
In the second week of June, 2012, I will process the first wave of Secret Contax films, and post an edit of those pictures here. My goal is to pre-load the entire Secret Contax project into my queue so the posts will be automated for a year. The first images will post June 17, 2012.
